Esther Symmes Obituary

SYMMES, Esther Dorothy (Hedberg) Age 86, of Medfield, formerly of Framingham,September24, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Donald F. Symmes and Thomas Shine. Loving mother of Marilyn S. Fontecchio and husband Kenneth of Medfield, Robert A. Symmes of Framingham, Ronald D. Symmes and wife Francesca of Manhattan Beach, CA, and Nancy C. Bourassa and husband David of Laconia,NH.Dearsisterof Robert Hedberg and wife Jeanne of Holliston, Florence Anderson and husband Theodore of Colorado, Ernest Hedberg of Florida, and the late Edith Coughlin. Devoted grandmother of Adam Fontecchio, Alan, Marie, Laura, Jeffrey, and Michael Symmes, and Michael and Angela Bourassa, she is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Sophie, and Tristan. Her funeral service will be at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, MEDFIELD, on Saturday Sept. 27th at 10:00a.m., followed by burial at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours will be Friday 4 - 7p.m. If desired, donations may be made in Esther's memory to the Medfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 271, Medfield, MA 02052-0271. Ron and Marilyn... I am so sorry. Your mom was tops. When she would come out to visit, she was always upbeat and full of great conversation. I remember when you, Francesca, and your mom went to San Felipe... she had a great time. Her account made me wish I had been there... She was a class act... I will remember her visits fondly.
