Michael Domoretsky Obituary

DOMORETSKY, Michael Of Chelsea, on September 25, born in Chelsea, March 23, 1927. Dear brother of Sophie Kanarkiewicz and her husband John of Chelsea and the late Walter Domoretsky and Vasily Domoretsky who passed on May 28 this year. Cherished uncle of Rosemarie Miller, John Kanarkiewicz Jr., Frank Kanarkiewicz, Donald and Michael Domoretsky, Adored great uncle of Adrienne Miller, Dennis and Sara Kanarkiewicz. Mr. Domoretsky Served honorably and with distinction in the United States Navy Seabees during W.W. II, as a shipwright he worked restoring the USS Constitution in Charlestown. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend the Funeral from the Frank A. Welsh & Son's Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, CHELSEA, on Monday, Sept. 29, at 8:30 AM followed by the Funeral Matins said in the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 8 Addison St., Chelsea at 9:30 AM. Services will conclude with Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7 P.M. Mr. Domoretsky,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Naval Construction Battalions during WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The Seabees were some of the unsung heroes of the War-they built airfields, advanced bases, and naval anchorages. If they had to, they were always ready to put down their tools and and pick up their weapons and fight if they had to.
