Elizabeth Hinchey Obituary

HINCHEY, Elizabeth M. "Bessie" (Hickey) In Salem, Sept. 29, 2008, 96, wife of the late Salem Hospital surgeon Dr. Paul R. Hinchey and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Sandy Hinchey of Bluebell, PA, George Hinchey and Paula Andrews of Newton, MA, Paul and Lonnie Hinchey of Annapolis, MD, John and Linda Hinchey of Swampscott, Charles Hinchey and Andree Dickinson and Chris and Marie Keaveney Hinchey all of Salem, Peter and Fran Hinchey of Danvers, Mary Clemons of Oxon Hill, MD and the late Patricia Hinchey Kane. Sister of the late Mary and Eleanor Hickey, also survived be her 15 cherished grandchildren, a great grandchild and nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., PEABODY facility. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 10:00 AM. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Nor Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 in her memory. Former Director of Volunteers and Trustee of Salem Hospital, and relocation officer of Salem Redevelopment Authority.

Although I never knew Bessie, I do know George who is a wonderful reflection of what must have been a very special and caring woman. To George and the family, I send my heartfelt condolences.
