We always remember those folks who believed in us, had confidence in our abilities, taught us, and encouraged us, and helped us to grow and achieve. Paul did that for me and for countless others. He was a brilliant man, and a dear friend. I think of him often. I do hope that his 5 very loved children, grandchildren, and brother Richard are all doing well. Anyone making his Key Lime Pie?

To the Fenton Family
I was so sorry to hear Of Paul's passing and my thoughts are with all of you. I met Paul shortly after The Fenton clan arrived in Lennoxville and I became great friends with Paul and Mary Ann, and also had the pleasure of teaching two of the boys at Champlain College.
I remember with great fondness visits to your home in Maine, the Boston apartment, and the house in Hanover.
Paul was generous and kind to me and always such stimulating company.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.

To the Fenton family,
Our deepest sympathy on the death of a man - and before him Mary Ann-who I first met in 1973 when he challenged me to a tennis match on the court at Bishop's University. And of course he won, as he did many times more both at Bishop's and occassionally on the island. Thank heaven for the odd squash game in between.
We all enjoyed our many discussions and especialy the arguments - with both of them -whether in the faculty residence at Bishop's, our own country home or in residences in Hanover, Woodstock or on the island. The last debate prior to Mary Ann's death took place in the den at Woodstock, complete with Chester on a sofa and their choice for that primary year was Bill Bradley. Both of them were also very engaging with our daugher Ngaio, from her first days. Even when I chatted with Paul in early September - as usual I was late to wish him Happy Birthday- he was thrilled to learn that Ngaio was completing her doctoral studires in England.
Our sincere best wishes to all of you and Paul, I hope to share a glass with you somewhere in your part of Maine before the end of fall

Dear Priscilla, Peter, Paul, Mark, Lizzy, and brother Richard,
If all goes well, I will see you all at the service in Woodstock, but just want you to know how much I admired Paul. He was by far one of the most brilliant men I have ever met, and he was a great boss, friend, teacher, and mentor for over 45 years. I will miss him. You are all in my prayers.

To Priscilla, Peter, Mark, Paul, and Lizzy,
You may recall that I worked for your father for several years at Studley Shupert in Boston. He gave me my first job in the investment business. He was a wonderful teacher and,
in spite of our age difference, a good friend.

To Peter Fenton and the entire Fenton family:
Although we did not know Paul we wanted to send our condolences to the entire Fenton family. The loss of a Father and Grandfather is so difficult. We hope wonderful memories will keep your Father and Grandfather close to you in your thoughts and hearts.
May God Bless Paul and all of you, forever.
Once a Marine, always a Marine!
Semper Fi and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your service to our country.

Mr. Fenton,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
Semper Fi Devil Dog!
