STEIN, Ida E. (Mendelson) Of Chestnut Hill, formerly of Lewiston, ME, October 6, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Maurice Stein. Devoted mother of Marsha Berenson and her husband Peter of Newton and Jacob Stein of CA. Cherished grandmother of Marissa Berenson. Loving sister of William Mendelson of Burlington MA and Sayde Stein of Chestnut Hill and the late Lillian Shane, Dorothy Higer, Mildred Cassely , and Carl and James Mendelson . Services at Temple Shalom, 175 Temple St. West Newton on Tuesday Oct. 7 at 2:30 pm. Following the interment in Woburn, a memorial observance will be held at the home of Marsha and Peter Berenson until 9:00 pm this evening.
