It's hard to believe a month ago Jon passed away. Sheryl has asked me to post a part of a letter they received. "In special memory of Jon's Christian faith, I am sending Ethiopian coins minted with the Lion of Juda holding the cross which to the new testament Christian believer represents Christ Jesus Our Lord. One coin should be placed with Jon and upon return of the others, I will insert coin bezzels to wear on a chain for his wife Sheryl and both sons, Matt and Ben. "May God comfort you and keep you in his care during this difficult time. Our love and prayers, Edward and Barbara Pappandrea, Madison, Ohio (brother-in-law and sister of Sheryl).

Just met Jon recently because of the sale of his mother's home on N. Main Street, Easton. I was the selling agent and my encounters with Jon were always pleasant and kind. He was a very nice man. I am glad to have known him and do sympathize with all in the family.

My deepest condolences go out to Sheryl, Matt, Ben and the entire Gilmore family. Jon was much more than a relative to me. He was a friend and confidant and I will miss Jon tremendously. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to get to know Jon over the last ten years or so. I’ll always remember his wry sense of humor. Jon was a generous, caring and intelligent person who gave back to the community when he saw the opportunity to do so.
