Dr. Nicholson,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II fighting the Germans-especially during the Battle of The Bulge-the largest battle ever fought in American history. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To the Nicholson family:
I just returned yesterday (Oct. 19) from a trip to Oregon (we took my Mom, June Barry, out to visit her sisters there). I was very sorry to hear of the death of "Doctor John" who was a beloved figure from my childhood. I can hear in my mind, as clearly as it was yesterday, the sound of his deep voice booming across the water at the camp! He was such a kind man and a gentleman, a wonderful husband and father, and I am truly sorry for your loss. May your happy memories comfort you and bring you peace. Fondly, Martha (Barry) Buisman
