To Mrs. Cornish and family,
We were so sorry to hear of John's passing. He and my Dad served on board the USS Lanning during WWII. They remained friends for the rest of their lives. The world is a sadder place because of their passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

How blessed I was to have met Mr. Cornish! How blessed we all are to be guided by his wonderful son, David, the consummate school man! May Mr. Cornish rest in heaven and may his family and friends be comforted by our Lord's peace, the peace that surpasses all human understanding.
