CLEARY, Robert Emmett Chemist, born September 1, 1920, Holyoke, Massachusetts. Son of Robert Emmett Cleary, Sr. and Helen (Fitzgerald) Cleary. Husband of the late Barbara (Fitzgerald) Cleary, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Father and father-in-law of Ellen and Phillip Dube of Portsmouth, N.H., James Cleary of Portland, CT, Robert Cleary and Alison White of Chelmsford, MA, Barbara Ann Cleary and David Hart of Salem, MA, David and Candace Gray-Cleary of East Hampton, CT, and Michael and Theresa Cleary of Portland, CT, ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Services will be held in the spring of 2009 in Connecticut. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, Massachusetts 01923. Mr. Cleary,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I want to give my condolences to all the Cleary Family. I have fond memories of Bob and his humor.
What is weird is that I thought of him last week and wondered how he was doing. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
