I am so very sorry to hear of Fran's passing. We worked together at Chaulk Ambulance- she on the road and Kim-Kerry and I in dispatch, and everytime she would enter the room it was like a tornado - non stop laugher turning into tear's. She alway's made everyone she met smile.. I have not seen here in year's but will never for get her. May you rest in peace you happy soul. There was nothing in this world that you were ment to do more than care for the critically ill and save lives. I wish your's was saved for just a little while longer-
I wish your family peace and strength during this time.
Fondly,
Kathy Ryan- Kerry Kaufman and Kim Riley

I never had the priviledge of meeting Frances but this I know, she was much loved. Her father's eyes would just light up when talking about her. She will be greatly missed.

A select few witness the flight of a comet across the night sky in their lifetime. We are part of an even more-privileged group...those who witnessed the life and bright flight of Fran. Even those who knew Frannie for what was literally the blink of an eye, such as I, knew that she was a once-in-a-lifetime human being. Her acerbic wit, her generous heart, her earthy presence, and her matter-of-factness are all attributes that we have committed to our memories, where we will hold her now and forever. As one who has followed the path of a meteor burning bright across the darkest of nights, we find ourselves now holding that fleeting sight in our mind's eye. I take solace in the knowledge that she was our friend...colleague...family, albeit for far too short a time. I draw comfort from knowing that her suffering has passed, and she can now rest, free of the evil that welled up from within her, and took her from us. I am honored to have known and felt the presence of Fran in my life. I'll never hear a Tom Waits song the same way again. I'll never hear a joke told without gauging how Fran would have received it, or probably told it. I know that our grief and loss is deep, just as surely as I know that someone like Frannie will never cross our paths again. Peace be with you all in this hour.

Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of meeting Frances... I was an EMT in Boston for almost 11 years with both the Boston Ambulance Squad and with Boston EMS. Frances sounds like the sort of person I would want working beside me in a critical situation. Dedicated, tough, strong, yet caring enough to show compassion to those she served and served with.
We in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services know that sooner or later we will lose a Brother or Sister, it is inevitable. But we expect to lose them not in the way we lost Frances. She was far, far too young to leave us but she is surely in a much better place than here.
My condolences to Frances' family and friends and my condolences to my Brothers and Sisters at Boston EMS for losing such a wonderful "partner". God Bless you all.

I am so sorry I cannot be there with the family at this time. I have been a friend of Margaret Wilkerson's, Frannie's Mom, for about 20 years. The family has taken me in on many occasions when I couldn't be with my own family. I shared Fran's room a couple of times, and shared their table countless times as well. Fran was one of the smartest and funniest people I have ever met. Such a quick wit! She was a most entertaining storyteller. Fran had a lot of love for people and animals, especially the less fortunate. She had more trials in her life than many people do. I am very sorry that she is gone. I wish the family hope and healing at this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Just remember that Frannie knew you all loved her a lot! Sarah Neilly

To The Wilkerson Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Fran and I shared some humorous experiences at Chaulk Ambulance. I could always count on her to bring a smile to my face, even on the worst of days. I will miss her, and I hope that you all find comfort as time passes.

Fran was my friend since third grade, a true friend whenever I needed her and the Maid Of Honor at my wedding. Fran shared her family with me at a time when I sorely needed one. She made me laugh more times than I can remember. She spent the night with me the night before I got married and kept me calm. Fran had a gift for making people feel comfortable and happy. She had a warmth that made you feel loved. She had a humor and quirky outlook that would coax a laugh out of you, even at your lowest point. God has certainly found himself the best Angel that He could want. Margaret, Steve, Meg and Sam....our deepest sympathies and love for you all. God Bless you all and may she rest in peace. Love, Liz, Joe, Cassie and Carlyn

To the Wilkerson Family & Friends,
I had the distinct honor of working with Fran in many different aspects of both our careers. Fran did everything for everyone she could help! I was sadden to hear that Fran lost her own battle with cancer and my thoughts and prayers are coming out to all, We all know there is a new angel in heaven watching over us now. May God Bless and watch over you Fran as well as give all of us who knew Fran from so many differing walks of life the strength and the blessing of life you wished for all of us!
