My Sister, My Best Friend,
Joan was, and will always be, my big sister and my best friend. I could always call her with questions or problems of any kind, and she would never let me down.
She was like my second Mom. When her and Tom married, I would go to their house on weekends and during the summer.
She taught me a lot of what I live today. When she had Darlene and Cindy, she showed me how to care for babies. She taught me how to clean house. Never did she show me how to cook though. Because both of us hated to do it.
My last visit with her 2 months ago was different. She leaned on me for support. She told me things I never knew about her. Leaving her house on that Saturday (Aug. 23rd) was the hardest thing I ever had to do. She held on to me saying "Please don't leave me, I feel so peaceful when you're here." After trying 3 times to leave her, I had to turn my back on her and walk away (what a terrible thing to do). Talking with her on the phone the next day, we both started to cry again with her saying "Come back, I miss you !"
I feel empty without her.....my sister, my friend, my second Mom.
Joan, I know you're happy, healthy, and with Jody, Jean, Mom, Dad, and Jack. Someday we will all be together again, and we'll never have to say Good-bye again. I miss you all !!
I Love you Joan !!!
Little Sis,
Judy

PS: To Joan and those who understand what I mean...........Please forgive me for what I did to you all during the last 8 months. I'm so, so, very sorry.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Uncle Tom and Girls,

All of my heart is with you today.
Aunt Joan is very happy at this moment, and you know why.
It is my regret that I didn't visit more often, and I'm sorry.
You have always inspired me in my strength to continue the journey until someday we are all together again.

Love to all, Michael
