To Dan, Mark and all in the Stepner family, Claudia and I send our sympathies to you in the passing of your wonderful mom. Bea Stepner was a woman of great warmth and kindness. Like her late husband Bernie, she was never without a good word, genuine interest and encouragement to all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.

I knew Mr. Stepner back in the 1960's when I played French horn in the Milwaukee Symphony and taught in the Sat. morning classes and the summer music program through MPS. I met Mrs. Stepner when she came and introduced herself to me while shopping at Boston Store. We stayed in touch and she called me to help her sell her condo in Shorewood when she moved to Boston. She was a delightful woman and I enjoyed hearing about her family and her volunteer work. We stayed in touch after she moved to Boston.
I will miss her (and her e-mails).
My condolences to her family.

To the Stepner family, please accept my deepest condolances on the death of your beloved Bea. I had the pleasure of knowing both Bea and Bernie during my years with Music for Youth and cherish the warmth of their friendship. Bea was a companion of strength for Bernie, and Bernie was a inspiring mentor both to me and to many young musicians.
Bea and Bernie will remain in my memory as great friends and persons of warmth and love.
