Norma Mushnick Obituary

MUSHNICK, Norma 90, of Lincoln Ave, Providence, RI died Wednesday (10/29/08) in Wingate at Sudbury, Sudbury, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Hayam Mushnick. Born in Attleboro, MA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (Rosin) Dosick, she had lived in Providence for 80 years. Norma was a teacher and librarian in Cranston, RI and Warwick, RI for 23 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El, its choir and the Emanu-El/Beth-El Garden Club. Devoted mother of Samuel Mushnick and his wife Nancy of Sudbury, Eric Mushnick and his wife Lisa of Westchester, PA and Leah Sheth and her husband Nalin of Pune, India. Dear sister of the late Ruth Dosick. Loving grandmother of 7. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Ave., CRANSTON, RI, with interment following at Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick, RI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Temple Emanu-El. Shiva will be observed at Temple Emanu-El, 99 Taft Ave., Providence, immediately following the interment until 3:00 p.m. and will continue at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mushnick, 9 Washbrook Rd, Sudbury, on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Dear Sam & Nancy:

I am truly sorry I was not able to attend Shiva with John on Sunday. I pray that you may be comforted knowing that God provided Norma with extraordinarily loving and caring children during her later years, and at her time of greatest need.
