WOOL, Mary E. "Mazie" (McLaughlin) Of South Boston, October 30, 2008. Beloved wife of the late William C. Wool. Daughter of the late P.J. and Anna (O'Donnell) McLaughlin.. Loving mother of Beverly Conley and her husband Albert of Holbrook, William Jr. and his wife Joan Wool of Pembroke, Paul Wool of Stoneham, Dennis and his wife Jeri Wool of Stuart, FL, Linda Dorion of South Boston and Kevin and his wife Anita Wool of Quincy. Loving Nana of 15 grandchildren and loving "More Nana" of 13 great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Florence "Dolly" Manley, Doris Arnold, John Kenney and the late John McLaughlin, James Kenney, Walter "Happy" Kenney and Ellen "Babe" McGrath. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., SOUTH BOSTON Monday at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Monica's Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 3 - 8PM. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Late employee of Stop & Shop of Quincy and RF Burns Card Shop. Mazie enjoyed her friends and family, going to Bingo and traveling to Foxwoods.

We are very sorry for your loss. Judy and I bowled with Mazie for Gate of Heaven for many, many years. She will be missed. Sorry we cannot attend the wake and mass as we are in Florida. Take care Linda.

Maize, you were the strongest woman I had ever known. You were everywhere all the time. Throughout my adult life and in my childhood when I used to go to the card store and get gifts for my family with my allowance, you would always show me the way. Every July 6th, Ed would say "I share a birthday with Maize Wool and George Bush. Your family is in our thoughts, you will be missed.

Condolences to the Wool and McLaughlin families. God Bless dear Mazie who was loved by all who knew her. I remember her in South Boston during the 30's and 40's when visiting my Uncle Nealy Wool with his sister, Molly,(my grandmother).
