Dear Hanley family - As for Alyce, on this day/date, my thoughts remain the same as I wrote in her guest book. She was a lovely friend, classmate and Catholic Christian. Her family misses her, no doubt. Her life was too short, esp since I am presently on the cusp of 87 and 60+ married years, and so many have already preceded me/us into the Kingdom. I hope they all are asking the Lord to grant us mercy when our own times arrive!! May Alyce continue to rest in eternal peace, and as I am telling her now, as we did on Graduation Day, '55 - - see you later!!! Love and prayers for you all and love and hugs for/to Alyce from her friend and classmate - Ann Drennan Forsyth

Dear Tom and loving Hanley family members-
I was very saddened to read of my dear classmate, Alyce's passing. I was not aware she had been ill for such a lengthy period. I know you will miss her terribly. We had such a great time at our 50th reunion, and although I do not return to Boston often, our 25th and 50th reunions were high water marks for me and all of us, as so many traveled long distances to simply -- 'be together.' We, the 'depression babies,' were a small but very collegial group of girls/ladies during our years at Emmanuel. Our reunion conversations started (with some 'inside' humor) where we left off (1955) and moved on quickly from there. We were never strangers with one another. I always loved Alyce's humor. She had an enviable Catholic Christian perception of people and life!!! What a wonderful legacy she has left for all or you!!! Now, she has joined the elect in those Great Halls of Heaven. There is joy and laughter at her arrival, and she is now in the long-awaited company of our beloved Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!!! May Alyce's soul and the souls of all the faithful Vincent/Hanley family members departed, rest in the peace of her/their Lord. With much love and blessings for now and always,
