Dear Roberta, Janice, Edward, and Grandchildren,
Please accept our sincere sympathy for your loss. Gus was indeed a special man for all who met him. He always had time to spend and a story to tell especially about his times at Hamilton Beach. He was one of the first to greet us when we moved in and we always looked for him on his porch no matter the time or season. He will be missed.
May your memories be a source of comfort. Know that you will see Gus in every fisherman who "caught the BIG one" and I know I will remember him every July in blueberry season.
God Bless.

Roberta, Janice, Edward, Grandchildren: Gus was the nicest, most kind and wonderful man. My husband, Paul, thought of Gus as being his second father as well as a good friend, and shared more with him than with his own Dad. My fondest memory of Gus is of my sister and I going blueberry picking with him in Wareham about 3 - 4 years ago. He supplied the buckets and cans to hang around our necks and told us where to find the best ones. He was so much fun even though his leg hurt. We, of course, did most of the picking and later made him some blueberry muffins. He did share something very special with us that day when he said he wished he had told Inez how much he loved her more often. Good advice for all of us! I know he is with her now. With sympathy to you all. He will surely be missed.

Dear Mr. Casassa,
I will never forget your daily return from fishing as you would walk down Reynolds Ave from the back-beach. You would always walk by and inform me of your daily catch. You represented what Hamilton Beach is all about.

Mr. Casassa,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Roberta, Janice, Edward and Grandchildren,
My deepest sympathy to all of you as you grieve the loss of your Dad and Grandfather. Gus was a kind, wonderful, gentle man. I will never forget our visits and little chats at his beach house. He was a bright man and could talk about anything and loved to talk the stock market. When neighbors took their daily strolls, they would expect to see Gus on his front porch, when they passed Reynolds Ave. They knew he would always give them a friendly wave as they passed by his home. Some would stop in for a brief chat, some would be happy with a smile and a wave. As time goes by, heads will still turn when they pass that porch, looking for Gus' wave, and he will be remembered and missed by so many at Hamilton Beach. I will miss you my Dear Friend.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. When we would "walk around the island" on Hamilton Beach we would see him sitting on his porch reading. He would always look up, smile and give us a big wave. What a kind man!
