BROWN, June S. (Starbird) Of Danville, NH, formerly of Reading, October 31, 2008. Wife of the late Laurence G. Brown; mother of Andrea Brown of New Gloucester, ME and Meredith B. Fitzpatrick and husband of Danville, NH; sister of Mary Bardwell and Margo Yanik and her husband; grandmother of Jessica Gilpatrick and her husband of Westbrook, ME and also survived by two nieces and a nephew. Arrangements are being handled by the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home of READING with a private burial service to be held at Sunset Cemetery in North Anson, ME. The family suggests that memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Reading Public Library Foundation, PO Box 96, Reading, MA 01867. June was a retired elementary school teacher with the town of Reading.

Andrea and Meredith, I just heard about the loss of your mother. She was a such a lovely person and I'm sure will be sadly missed by so many. I remember birthday parties at your house when we were all kids. She really made such a fun time of it and also making rock candy in the kitchen. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.
