Eve D. Casey

CASEY, Eve D. Of Mashpee, 93, passed away on October 20, 2008 at her home in Popponessett Beach, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward S. Casey for 71 years. He was the head commercial artist for the Boston Globe and part owner of Casey Florist Co. of Melrose, MA. Eve was born in South Boston, and went to the Groton School. Mrs. Casey was a resident of Mashpee for 50 years. She was one of the founders of Popponessett Beach. She was also the owner of Famous Films. Eve was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children Rene White of Pinehurst, NC, Andrea D'Aquino of Loveland, CO and James Casey of Mashpee, her grandchildren Kendyl, Allisyn, Sean, Tara and Jenny and 7 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Hgwy., E. Falmouth. The visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Monday in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., at Route 151, MASHPEE, MA 02649.
