I met Eve just recently doing a home visit from Bayada Nursing. I was immediatly charmed by her graciousness, sincerity, and spirit. She is the first person I have met who knew my grandfather, George B. Gavin, from the Boston Globe. Her eyes slightly teared as she spoke of the days at the Globe in te 1930's. I hope my visit brought some warm memories to her, as the visit was very special for me.
