Barbara Lockhart

LOCKHART, Barbara (Salt) At 90, in Wilmington, NC, formerly of Chestnut Hill and Duxbury. A past president of the Boston Morning Musicals, she was active in many charitable organizations in the Boston area. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Bergen Salt of Chestnut Hill, where she grew up attending the Beaver Country Day School. She was married to Dr Arthur John Lockhart in 1941. An accomplished needlewoman, she taught needle arts to women's groups for many years, before retiring with her husband to Hancock, NH. She is survived by a brother, Lloyd Taft Salt of Fort Meyers, FL, and a sister, Katherine Boynton of New London, NH, 4 children: Arthur John Lockhart, III of Pemaquid, ME, Dr Bruce Sanford Lockhart of Petersham MA, Dr. Peter Bergen Lockhart of Charlotte, NC and Cynthia May Lockhart of Menlo Park,CA, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
