I just learned of Mr George passing today and am sorry I could not attend the wake, he coached me in baseball for many years and was passionate about the sport as well as a gentleman and a great guy. He had a wonderful sense of humor and I will miss seeing him around the Sugarbowl and the ballpark. He raised a wonderful family and my condolences go out to all of you.

Please accept my sympathies and condolences on Steve's passing. I am unable to be presne with you at his wake and funeral due to my own health issues. Steve taught in the Business Dep't. and I in the Social Studies Dep't. all those years. We also were baseball coaches together. Steve with the Frosh and I with the JV's. Be assured of my on-going thoughts and prayers as Steve soars into the eternal embrace of his Incarnate Savior. Jack O'Brien

Mr. George will be missed on Saint Margaret Street. When you walk the street, in the middle section, you usually found Mr. George. He was always good for a comment on the market or the latest neighborhood news when we passed by. Although Saint Margaret Street has been home for me over the last 10 years, he welcomed my family from day one.
He will be missed by the all the neighbors especially the Murphys at #10. All the best.

My sincere condolenses to the George family. I knew Mr.George as a teacher at North High and through his involvement in the baseball program. I'll remember him as a kind, thoughtful person who always had time for his students and who loved his baseball. He will be missed.

Mr George was the ultimate Dad---playing wiffle ball with us every summer and being ultra "competitive"(with a wink and a nod) with Doug and Dave is a fond memory for me. My condolences to all for their loss of a Father and Husband----Dave and Karen Gardner

Steve was a colleague for a very long time. He coached freshman baseball at North High while I was the varsity coach. I remember his great love for the game. His unfailing good nature made him a valued member of the North High community. My deepest sympathy to his family.

My deepest condolences to the George family on the loss of your husband & father. I first met Steve when I was umpiring one of his games & after the game we enjoyed talking about baseball. Those baseball talks continued over the years whenever we would meet along with talking about our families. He was a great person & well respected man who will be sadly missed by all. I am making a donation in his name to the Daniel Marr Boys & Girls Club

Again, I send my deepest sympathy to the family.

Steve was such a great, pleasant guy with a fantastic sense of humor. He taught me how to drive and then teased me about my bad driving skills for a long time! Sending my heartfelt sympathy to everyone who loved him.
