Carl E. Bergstrom

BERGSTROM, Carl E. 80, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Rochester, NH, Port Charlotte, FL and Lynn, MA, died November 6, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Husband of Mary Alita (Dunn) Bergstrom with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, MA, the son of the late Fredrick and Virginia (Paine) Bergstrom and son-in-law of the late Fenwick and Evangeline (Nadeau) Dunn. A Veteran of World War II, he served with the United States Army in Hawaii and Guam and was a retired employee of Middlesex Welding Supply Company in Lynn and Everett, MA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children: Susan E. Barclay and her husband Herbert, Diane M. Tenaglia and her partner Carl Walker, Virginia R. Smith and her husband William, Barbara J. Cohen and her husband Burt, Carolyn A. Neil and her husband Frank, Katrin L. Andrews, Carl F. Bergstrom and his wife Maureen (McCarthy), Eric J. Bergstrom and his wife Christine (Morrell), and by his stepmother Lillian (Haynes) Bergstrom. Dear brother of Barbara B. Doherty of Port Charlotte, Fl, Jacqueline Cunningham and her husband Thomas, Linda Skibicki, Richard Bergstrom, Roy Bergstrom and his wife Angela. Survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was loved and will be missed by all. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
