Romeo Levesque Obituary

LEVESQUE, Romeo J. 84, of Beverly and formerly Wakefield, passed away at his home Friday, Nov. 10 after a period of declining health. Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, on Oct. 8, 1924 he was the son of the late Andrew and Lea (Creostone) Levesque. Mr. Levesque originally moved to the United States in 1948, where his family 1st settled in Limestone, ME before coming to Wakefield in 1955. Romeo worked for the former Wakefield Concrete Company, retiring after 36 years and he had been a member of the Teamsters Local 42. He had been a member of St. Joseph Parish and had also belonged to the Crystal Community Club. Mr. Levesque was the husband of the late Theresa (Parent) Levesque and Alfreda (Soucy) Levesque. He was the father of Gary Levesque of Wakefield, Rena Wood of Lawrence, Kevin Levesque and Yvanna Dumond of Beverly, Belinda Worthington of Lynn, Bibianne Caron of CT and Kenneth Caron of Canada. Romeo is also survived by 17 adoring grandchildren including his devoted caregiver, Kim Dumond of Beverly, and several great grandchildren. His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., WAKEFIELD on Weds. at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
