John Hanafin Obituary

HANAFIN, John F. Of Dorchester, died November 8, 2008. Son of the late Francis and Helen (Doucette) Hanafin. Beloved companion of Carol Vickey of Dorchester. Former husband of Karen Hanafin of NH. Father of Jimi Hanafin of NH. Brother of Michelle and her husband Michael Butler of Weymouth, and Catherine and her husband Joseph Queally of Milton. John is survived by 4 nephews, 1 niece and many friends. John was a friend to many. He loved rock and roll and swimming. John was an avid reader and a sports fanatic. He was a friend of Bill W. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Visitation prior to service from 4-7 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the American Cancer Society, Central NE Region, 18 Tremont Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02108.
