Dear Fitzsimmons Family:
I just learned this afternoon of Karen's passing and I was stunned and am still in shock. I worked for her in the Marketing Department at NYNEX when she underwent a bone marrow transplant, and thought her to be one of the most courageous people I have ever met. She was ALWAYS smiling and full of energy. She used to tell me I was like a stick of dynamite, but she was exactly that way too! I have not seen her in over 9 years, but I can still remember her sweet, angelic face. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep Karen and your family in my prayers.

My sincerest sympathy,
Val Struzziero

Dear Tom, Kelly, Mary and Katie,
I was so, so upset to hear of Karen's passing. I worked with her for many years in Nynex and found her to be one of my favorite people. She was smart as a whip, had a keen business savvy and yet had a self deprecating sense of humor. She always found humor no matter the situation. I fondly remember when we met up with you guys on the island of Jamaica a few years back during our 2 separate cruises. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet her family..especially her "girls". Take comfort in your memories and that she will always still be watching over you.
Warmest sympathies.

To Tom, Kelly, Mary and Katie,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Karen was one of my favorite people I ever met. I first met her at NYNEX and we became good friends. I remember so fondly the ski weekends at Tom's family camp and skiing Tenny Mountain. I loved Karen's sense of humor and her laugh. It was so easy to make her laugh. I cannot begin to tell you how much I will miss her.

Dear Mitzi and Billy,
My thoughts are with you during this incredibly sad time. Karen was a good friend to me growing up on Spring Street. I will remember her infectious smile, and how nice she was to me. We use to sing, pretend we were models, try to cook in my easy bake oven, and play in your basement. I always looked up to Karen.
No parent should have to experience the death of a child, and I am so sorry for your loss. Karen holds a special place in many hearts, I'm sure. Please extend my sympathy to her husband and children.

Karen and Patti played together as childhood friends in our lovely neigborhood on Spring St. Since I haven't seen her in recent years, I can only remember her as a precious little girl. I'm sure she became the same sweet, warm and caring woman. I send you my heart-felt sympathy as you endure this very tragic loss.
