Jane, Richard, Josephine and extended families, I am deeply saddened at the loss of your dad and our great friend and neighbor Sam Masotta. Your dad loved you all very much and had such a love for life. I feel so sad for all of you. There are just so many great things to remember about your dad and mom. The early morning hours driving Richard and Jeff to Ridge Arena for Hockey practices. Thanksgiving football games, Nantasket - paragon park, Sunday dinners, Champ...I remember one saturday morning before you all moved onto Deerfield Street, your dad was perched on a ladder painting the house. I stood there and bagdered him with questions. I was 10 years old. I asked him if he had any kids and he told me all about his little boy Richard. The following Saturday Richard accompanied Sam to the house and introduced me to him. There began a wonderful long term friendship. The stories go on and on. Your dad will be sorely missed by all whose path he crossed. I will light a candle in church this week in memory of Sam and for all of you as well. I wish I was there to give you all a huge hug...take care....

Love you all
