As I read of Mr. McHugh's passing, beautiful childhood memories flooded my mind. The fun times on both Dexter Street and Brigham Road. I was always welcome in your home and to this day one of my favorite activities is camping, thanks to the several trips I experienced with the McHugh family. My deepest sympathy to each and every one of you.

To the McHugh Family,

John was my Godfather and John and Millie have been very close to my parents, John and Mary Perkins. They were members of the "Breakfast Club" and enjoyed getting together on Tuesday mornings at Friendly's for some friendly conversation. They also enjoyed trips to Loon Mountain together and seeing John and Millie in Florida.

My sympathies to the family and I know my parents will miss John and the good times they shared.

Millie, I remember two or four years ago after I celebrated Saturday afternoon Mass at Saint Jude´s we went back to your house for supper.

To the McHugh family, our sincere sentiments for such a loss.

Millie and John were great neighbors and fellow parishioners at St. Judes for our family , Dr. John and Mrs. Rosanne Craig.
Millie and John were so very actively involved in the parish..what wonderful people.

A great thank you for all that your Dad (and Mum) have accomplished and people touched.

I worked with John. I was in the Firearms Ident. Unit and used to have tea with John. I retired in 74 and he was doing the dog specimens. He had a great sense of humor and we used to get involved in discussing cases. He was a great guy. Carl Majeskey

To the McHugh Family,

The current and former members of the Massachusetts State Police extend their deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences for the passing of John McHugh.

John dedicated his life to forensic science before it was popular. John used his skills and experience to keep the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab in the forefront of the existing technology.

John should be proud of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab of today. His leadership and scientific skills paved the way for others to follow.

The McHugh family should be very proud of John's Service and Dedication to the Massachusetts State Police.
