JOHNSON, Rodger L. Of Quincy, November 10, 2008, at the age of 82. Devoted brother of Priscilla Naile of Kailua,HI, Patricia Fearing of Quincy, the late Richard O. Johnson and Roderick A. Johnson. Dear uncle of Tanya Correia of San Francisco, Trina Correia of Kailua HI, Philip Correia of Las Vegas NV, Leland D. Thompson III of Quincy, Dwaine Thompson of Quincy, Gail Johnson of NH, Denise Johnson of Boston and Lita Romano of Taunton. Also survived by many grand nieces and grand nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial visitation Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 3 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, (Rte 28) RANDOLPH. Burial in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, Monday at 1:00 PM. Rodger was born in Bangor, Maine. He was a WWII and Korean Conflict Veteran who served from 1944 to 1953 with the US Navy. He was the recipient of the Navy Occupation American Defense Medal with Asiatic Clasp, Korean Service Medal and China Service Medal and had served aboard the USS Hawkins. Mr. Johnson,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and the Korean War and also for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
