Alan and Donald: My mother (Virginia Briggs) told me of your Dad's passing and I just wanted to send along my condolences. My parents always enjoyed your folk's company! One of my favorite memories was when your Dad let me drive his Mercedes (this must have been about 1969 - I was about 17). My Dad went right through the roof! I guess Winston didn't think I should have asked Uncle Donald for such a favor. It's a great memory for me! Your Dad was a wonderful man.

My best to both your families.

We so enjoyed knowing the fun, delightful and true gentleman, your Dad was. Our thoughts and prayers go to you and you children but know that he & your Mum (of whom I have many, many happy memories) are smiling down on all of us. So be cheered for your Dad for now the wind is truly at his back.
