To Tom's family, please accept my condolences. I only now learned of Tom's passing as I've been working Iraq with the Army Corps of Engineers since Nov 2008.

Tom and I were football teammates at Fenwick HS. I was a sophmore when he was a senior. We younger guys idolized Tom and looked up to him. He was an exceptionally gifted athlete and a strong leader. He will be missed.

We knew Tom back long ago during his time in Texas. He always had a smile, and I remember him dressing as Oscar the Grouch for Shannon's first birthday party. We'll remember him fondly and hope that the memories you share will help to ease the pain of his loss.

My condolences go out to Tom's Fiance, Family and Freinds. I was fortunate to work with Tom at Stanley and he quickly became a mentor of mine. He was hard working, honest and respected. Tom truly helped guide my career and I will be forever grateful for that. He will be deeply missed as he was one of life's special people.
Thank you Tom for being a great freind!

To Tom's Family
In reading all the entries in the guest book, I keep on seeing Tom's gentle and wise smile. I had the fortune to work with Tom for the last 3+ years. He was passionate and professional about his work but at all times calm and completely together in his approach. Proteus will miss him dearly but we all know that we are better off from our collaboration with him. As so many others have said, Tom was my friend and I will remember him with my fondest feelings. I wish you well in dealing with your loss.

Sincerely,

Ginny and George Clifford

To ALL the Feeheley's,

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the news of Tom's passing.
Our families are the best of friends and I grew up with Tom playing "capture the flag," carpooling together, and on to Fenwick where Tom excelled on both the academic and the athletic field. He was an inspiration for me to always try my best in every endeavor.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

Mike & Kelly: Us Wasz's are so sad for your loss. Your dad was one of those guys who was always on the sidelines rooting and, thankfully, never got in my face when I would make a knucklehead coaching decision. As strong as you both are, let your friends in. They care about you. All my best wishes are for your family.

To all of Tom's family and friends: My deepest condolences on Tom's sudden passing. I had the pleasure of working closely with Tom as a member of the leadership team of Stanley Home Decor and Stanley Hardware in the 1980s and 1990s. We both relocated to the Boston area and had several meetings at Proteus, as recently as this past summer. Tom carried his passion for his work from Stanley to Proteus and both enterprises are better because of his contributions.

I first met Tom when I interned at Stanley Hardware. After graduating college, he provided me an opportunity to work for Stanley full time which I greatly appreciated.
I have kept in touch with him over the years and will never forget his great advice and support. Tom was a great guy and will be missed by all.

Dear Family: I'm saddened for your loss. Tom was a special soul. He was, and always will be a great inspiration to my family and I.
Tom's impact on my life is evident. As a college graduate he provided my first professional opportunity (Stanley), promoted me, watched as I married, had my first child and gave both professional and personal guidance. He was a mentor and a friend.

Although we hadn't worked together in years we managed to always stay in contact. Whether it had been a week, a month, sometimes two, we always picked up where we left off – always family first.

Great person, great friend - he will be missed but never forgotten!

To Tom's family: I am so sorry for your sudden loss. Tom had a great sense of humor and brought many laughs to our family get togethers. His "ski cat and motor man " story has its place in history in Lake Geneva. And I have Tom to thank for introducing me to my husband. Shannon, Michael and Kelly, your Dad will be missed.

I offer my sincere condolences to Tom’s family and his large circle of loved ones and friends.

Tom was a dear friend and colleague with whom I worked and traveled extensively for many years as a business partner in Boston. I was deeply saddened to hear of his tragic passing. I couldn’t believe it, and I wished so much for it not to be true.

He was a mentor and added to my personal and professional development immeasurably. Tom had charisma, charm, class, extraordinary intellect, an easy manner and a gentle disposition that most people only aspire to. He was there for me and gave his sincere advice during what turned out to be the most difficult time of my life. I will always be deeply appreciative for his honesty, help and concern.

On a sun-filled summer day in 2007, I prodded Tom to take my new Chevrolet Corvette convertible for a test drive during lunch hour. Not surprisingly, he happily obliged. We cruised down Memorial Drive along the Charles River past M.I.T and Harvard, turned around and then headed back to our office. School was out, the road was empty and I said, “Punch it Tom, go ahead and kick it for just a bit”.

He looked toward me with that classic twinkle in his eye and that ear-to-ear smile – as if to say, are you sure? I nodded, and oh, did we take off - for just 50 yards or so to be sure we didn’t get in any trouble. The momentum pushed us back in our seats and we laughed out loud all the way back.

I miss Tom, and I’ll never forget him.

I was with Tom the morning that turned out to be his last. As always he was optimistic and enthusiastic about the day's events. We talked about our families and friends first before we moved on to the business of the day. This is the way that I will remember Tom: a kind and humble man who was much more interested in how you were doing than what you were doing.

Shannon, Michael and Kelly,
My heart goes out to you with the loss of your Dad. May your memories stay with you always. Shannon, I when you were weeks old, Tom had you walking the kitchen counter swinging your arm saying how you were going to be a great tennis player, Michael, with a twinkle in his eye and a huge grin on his face he announced "I have a son!" and Kelly, your antics and energy when you were little cracked him up! He loved you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Michele - I am truly sorry for what must be such an unimaginable and incalculable loss for you and as well as for Tom's children. I had the absolute privilege and the honor to get to know Tom for just a little over four years. I can only add to the common refrain shared by others here of what a remarkable, sensitive and wonderful man he was... You will be in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything at all, that I can possibly do for you, please do not hesitate to call me.

Tom was not only a great boss-he was a great person. He understood people and
behind this true professional, was an adventurer at heart. He shared his valuable insights and was a supportive leader. On a personal level, Kevin and I will miss telling him
boat stories since he got such a kick out of
them. My thoughts are with his loved ones.

To the family, my deepest heartfelt condolences. I am so sorry for this sudden loss.

I remember seeing Tom play high school football at Fenwick with my brother and he was a heck of a high school ball player. I got to know Tom later in life as my brother in law and we had a lot of laughs and good times together. He was a wonderful guy in many ways. Time passed and for other reasons we drifted apart but he will always have a place in my memory and his children will always have a home in my heart.

Love to you all.

I knew Tom through business and came to view him as a friend. He was at all times a true gentleman, always kind, always empathetic. He was also extremely capable, knowledgeable and keenly intelligent. I am likely one of a few hundred people who share that opinion. I can't imagine the magnitude of this loss. My heart goes out to his family.

Tom lived the golden rule that my father always preached to me about.
Tom was a wonderful man. Tom was a sensitive man's man, he was a loyal friend and family man. I thought that Tom would be a friend for life, and, I'm happy he became just that - I just wish it was for many more years. Tom had a brilliant smile, and an appealing twinkle in his eye. I’m so sorry for loss.
