BIDGOOD, Helen J. (McCabe) Of Melrose, Nov. 15, 2008. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 30, 1921. Devoted wife of William J. Bidgood. Loving mother of Mary M. Bidgood-Wilson & her husband Kenneth of Moultonboro, NH, Wm. John Bidgood, Jr. & his wife Maureen of Melrose, Elizabeth A. Curnane & her husband Joseph of Melrose, Paul F. Bidgood & his wife Patricia of W. Boylston, James B. Bidgood of Melrose, Peter D. Bidgood & his wife Lorraine of Melrose, Andrew M. Bidgood & his wife Allison of Atkinson, NH & George M. Bidgood & his wife Kerri of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of 19 & great grandmother of 2. Caring sister of Barbara Thompson & her late husband Raymond of Grand Rapids, MI & the late Dorothy Vandallen & Elizabeth McCormick. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., MELROSE on Tuesday, Nov. 18th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 AM. Family & friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Interment in Proctorsville Cemetery, Cavendish, VT on Wednesday, Nov. 19th at Noon. W.W. II Army Nurse Corp. Veteran. Mrs. Bidgood,
Maam, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served as a U.S. Army Nurse during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
