Charles: We knew him as Chuck and he was one of the funniest guys we knew. We had such good times with Chuck Hurley and many wonderful memories in Chicago and Galena IL. We still miss him so much when we visit Chicago because we always looked forward to seeing him. Hopefully he is still "trying" to play golf wherever he is.

Charles: We loved your wry sense of humor, those sparkly blue eyes and all the times we'd ask about something and you'd say "Ivory...what about X" We've missed your smile! RIP

Dear Hurley Family,
I met Chuck when he began working with D.H. Brush & Assoc. Chuck is a true friend and one of the most skilled in investing. I wish that I could learn 1/3 of what Chuck forgot about investing. I live in Louisville, KY Once we visited a neighborhood bar here. I introduced Chuck to some friends at the bar, one of which is a Roman Catholic Nun, my former teacher, who grew up in Boston, MA. Chuck couldn't believe his eyes. I said to Chuck:
" Welcome to Kentucky. We do things differently around here ! " It's my privilage to know Chuck !

Although I am deeply saddened by this, I am happy that I can say I got to know Chuck albeit for a few months this past summer. I enjoyed Chuck's humor and unique personality every day at work and I am thankful I was able to work around Chuck all day.

I will never forget Charles' wry sense of humor and his love of red wine, that he referred to as his heart medicine.I used to bring him "2 Buck Chuck" from Trader Joe's.

I am so happy that had the chance to get to know Chuck over the years. Chuck was a good listener & always kind. I would get him coffee & breakfast every morning at McDonalds since he had his knee surgury. He would always buy me the same thing he would have. Chuck will be dearly missed from this day forward. R.I.P. Chucky.
