DESMOND, Lester R. , Jr. Of Needham, November 18, 2008. Beloved husband for 61 years of Pauline (Walker) Desmond of Needham. Loving father of Elizabeth L. "Betsey" Desmond of Wellesley. Grandfather of William Desmond Forman of Wellesley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM on Friday Nov 21 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Thurs from 4-7 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Needham. Memorial donations in Lester's name may be made to Charles River ARC, 59 East Militia Heights Rd, Needham MA 02492. Late graduate Newton High School and Coyne Electrical School. US Army Air Corp World War II Veteran. Member of IBEW Local 103 for over 50 years. Member of American Legion Post 440 in Newton. Mr. Desmond,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Lester poking fun at Sandra and me when Lillian was Sandra's roommate many years ago at Briarwood. Please know we are thinking of you.
