Judith Pulciani Obituary

PULCIANI, Judith B. 66, of Pembroke, MA, died unexpectedly at her home, on Monday, November 17, 2008. Born April 24, 1942 in Milford, CT, she spent most of her life on the South Shore raising her two daughters, but in recent years had spent much of her time in Marblehead, where her daughters now reside. Judy, affectionately known as Gigi to her family and friends, was a fixture at her grandchildren's many sporting events and was unquestionably the most enthusiastic supporter of whatever teams they happened to be on. She retired from Liberty Mutual after more than 20 years of service, and was currently working part time at Wheaton College as a librarian. She was loved and admired by her work study colleagues and she considered them part of her extended family. Gigi will be remembered for her indomitable spirit, her enthusiasm for life and her infectious personality. Judith was the daughter of the late Joseph Baltrenas and Joan Nettleton Baltrenas. She is survived by her daughters Tracy Maag and Kimberly Monahan, her sons-in-law William Maag and Michael Monahan, all of Marblehead, her grandchildren Taylor, Courtney and Ian Maag and Amanda and Joseph "JT" Monahan, her sisters Susan Bryan of Marblehead and Lea Baltrenas of Milford, CT and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Old North Church, 35 Washington Street, Marblehead, MA on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10 AM followed by a reception at 24 Dennett Road, Marblehead, MA. Friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements by the Eustis Cornell Funeral Home, MARBLEHEAD 781-631-0076. Please visit the online guestbook for Gigi at: www.mem.com.
