Papa,
Yesterday was my first game playing without you in the bleachers cheering me on. I was just shy of a home-run yesterdaywhich would have been for you and Papa Sammy. I pitched the 1st 5 innings with giving up only 3 runs. I scored 3 runs in the game.

Dear Brother,
As a child growing up, I know that we were loved by Ma, Dad, Aunty Jennie, Uncle Eddie, and most of all “Nana.” You know you got your name “Yashew” from Nana because she couldn’t say Robert or Bob.
What I can remember most from those days growing up is how handsome you were and how wild -- You gave Ma a run for her money, didn’t you? And boy could you dance!
As the years went by, you started to mature and then you met Joanne, the love of your life. That was one of the happiest moments in your life and ours. As the years past, we might have gone our separate ways, but we never forgot to see or call each other.
As I sat in your kitchen I could see the love from your children and grandchildren. They loved you very much. I might not have said it often, brother, but I loved you too!

To my brother Yashew, who I loved so very much. I know we never took the time to say "I love you", but we didnt need to. We saw it in the times we had together. Happy times in the back yard at ma and dads house and gettogethers we always had good times. Im so proud to know how very much you were loved and you couldnt have picked a better wife than my sister-in-law Joanne. She is trying to be so very strong for the family, but she has all my beautiful neices and nephews and grandchildren to hold her up. You both did a wonderful job bringing them up. Love you and miss you. Your sister Janice and brother in law Gordy

Auntie Joanne & Cousins, I am so sad for you. I know Uncle Yashew loved you all. He will surely be missed. He did a great job as a dad as all of you are so respectful and loving. I always feel comfortable when I'm around our family, which is not often enough. I hope this changes. I miss all our stories, and boy do we have them. Your in our hearts always, Bonnie, Gary and the girls

To Joanne and Family: Words cannot express how sorry we are. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was always there for my niece Tiffany and nephew Ray. Having just lost my Dad I know that nothing anyone will say or do can take away this pain. Know now that he is in a much better place watching over you each and every day.

Uncle Yashew, I just had a thought - while we're all sitting around over the next few days telling stories and sharing memories, I can just hear you saying "don't be sad - I'm having a great time", and I'm picturing you sitting at a table (like the one on Edgar Ave or the one at the Hampton Beach cottage) with Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Sonny, Bobby, Richie, Auntie Jenny and Uncle Eddie. I think there's quite a few of us that would love to listen in on that conversation! Anyway, it made me feel a little better, knowing you were surrounded by others who love you.

We love you, Uncle Yashew - you will be sorely missed. Even though I didn't get to see you that often, your warmth and sense of family always made me feel like no time had passed. You truly knew what was important in life, above all else - family - and you passed this down to your children and grandchildren. The loving nature that shines through my cousins is a tribute to you and the kind of dad/papa you were to them. You have touched so many lives. My heart goes out to Auntie Joanne, all of your children, their spouses and girlfriends, your grandkids, your sisters and brother, your nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and all of those who loved you so dearly. May you rest in peace as you watch over all of them. They need you more now than ever. For those who will miss you most, may God wrap his arms around them and comfort them through this very difficult time and may their memories of you keep him alive in your heart. You will always have a place in mine. God bless you. Love, your niece, Denise

Papa,
I miss you so much you never believe it! I can't believe how it happened so fast! I have so many memories that I will remember every single one of them like it was yesterday! I will miss you very much but I know you and my Papa Sammy will be having so much fun talking, playing cards, and watching over me! Now I have not 1 but 2 angels sitting on my shoulders watching over me. I was your last grandchild to see you outside of my house when you and I were making fun of Auntie Cheryl before the accident.
I have so many funny stories because when you were on the phone looking for Tiffany, I would say it is Tiffany when it was me. We would talk for a long time and you still did not realize it was me. Then you would call back and ask to talk to Ray and I would say Papa I just talked to you and I said I was Tiffany and you would say don't lie to me and you would ask my mother if it was me. When ever I was cooking dinner and you called I said Papa I will call you back I am cooking or eating and you yell at me over the phone. Saying why didn't you call me back? I would say I had to shower. I'm very lucky to have had such a wonderful Papa who would do anything for me and never so no. I will miss you from not picking me up from school, I will miss you from not being at most my basketball and baseball games cheering me on. I will love and miss you forever.
Love your Grandson,
