Dear Aarons family--
I read about Jules' death in my Seattle newspaper today. Your mother, Jeannette, was my mother's (Lillian Hamlin Glickstein, who died in 1965) best friend back in the late 30s and early 40s, and I remember her talking with great respect and fondness of Jules. My condolences to all of you.

To Philip and Herb: Condolences on the recent death of your father. My name is Mary Aarons. My father, also a professional photographer, was named Slim Aarons. He was born in NYC just a few years before your father. I wonder if we are all related? Since my father's death in 2006 I have done lots of research into the Aarons family. My grandparents came from Vilnius to NYC in approx 1915. All the best to you and your families during this tough time. Your father sounds like he was an amazing, and very talented man. Sincerely, Mary Aarons

Dear Phil and Herb,
I don't remember your Dad as well as Joyce did, since I lived on the other side of Oak Hill Park; but on the one occasion I remember meeting him I was impressed by what a nice guy he was. Of course, at that age I was too young to be impressed with his achievements; but looking back at his life I wish that I had known him a lot better. We all have lost a great man; and I would like to express my deepest sympathies over your father's passing.

Dear Philip and Herb,
Both Maribeth and I want you to know that Jules was a great guiding life in our lives, especially during our early years of marriage. He was my mentor at AFCRL and I will always cherish my association with him.
He will be greatly missed.
