Joseph Bruno Sr.

BRUNO, Joseph Sr. Of Boston's North End, died peacefully on November 23, 2008. He was the son of the late Frank and Cannella (DeVito) Bruno, devoted husband of the late Margaret (Sarno) Bruno; loving father of Marjorie Correnti and husband Frank of Stoneham, MA; Paul Bruno Sr. and wife Noreen of Wilmington, MA; and Joseph A. Bruno Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL; cherished grandfather of Mark Correnti and wife Catherine, Christopher Correnti and wife Nicole, Michelle Correnti, Eric Correnti and wife Nicole, Paul Bruno Jr., Kristen Bruno, Lindsay Bruno, Ashley Bruno, and Joseph Bruno III. Great-grandfather of Abby, Sam, Harrison, Jake, Renee, Tyler, and Ava. Survived by his loving siblings; Pauline Centore of Belmont, MA, Barbara Maldero of Boston's North End, William Bruno of Winthrop, MA and Peter Bruno of Hallandale, FL. Also predeceased by the late Vito Bruno, Ralph Bruno, Rocco Bruno, Angela DiBisceglia and Louis Bruno. Mr. Bruno was a health inspector for the City of Boston for over 40 years and an active member of the Knights of Columbus "North End". A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26th at 9:45 AM at the St Leonard's Church, Hanover St., Boston. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 4-8PM at the Boston Harborside Home of J. S. Waterman & Sons -Langone, 580 Commercial Street, BOSTON. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society "Massachusetts Chapter", 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701
