Sarah,
i am sorry to hear about Phil, i am going to miss him a lot. There are so many good memories with him, and I know I'll cherish them forever.

Phil,

I'll miss you so much, it was like yesterday you picked me up at the end of the driveway and I was off to kindergarten. I am glad I was able to see you when I did, and I wish you didn't have to go, but you can't keep people forever. I hope God takes care of you, because you deserve the best place up there and I know I'll always think you no matter where I go. Thank You for all the memories you have given me, since I was just a little girl. Keep me safe, and I know i'll see you someday!.

Love you,
Malin Elizabeth Snow

Dear Sarah, Michelle, Jeanine, Joe and families -I am so sorry for your loss. I am enclosing an Irish poem that I hope may give you some comfort in this time of grief. I will keep Phil in my prayers.

Lessons of Experience

I learn as the years roll onward
And leave the past behind
That much I have counted sorrow
But proves our God is kind;

That many a flower I longed for
Had a hidden thorn of pain,
And many a rugged bypath
Led to fields of ripened grain.

The clouds but cover the sunshine,
They cannot banish the sun,
And the earth shines out brighter
When the weary rain is done.

We must stand in the deepest sorrow
To see the clearest light,
And often from wrongs own darkness
Comes the very strength of right.

So the heart from the hardest trial
Gains the purest joy of all,
And from the lips that have tasted sadness
The sweetest songs will fall.

For as peace comes after suffering,
And love is reward of pain,
So after earth comes heaven
And out of our loss the gain.

My deepest sympathies,
Jim Nally

Michelle, Jeanine, and Joe:
As your uncle and Phil's brother, I wish there was more to say than "Deepest Condolences. Can these two words adequately describe our thoughts and feelings at this time? I think not! But, they'll have to do. Grief is so personal to each person that they may have a problem expressing their feelings on not know what to do or or say, or how to act.
It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I'm writing this. I saw your father from a different perspective than you kids did.He was a kind and gentle forgiving man with a lot of love in his heart-more than enough to go around. He's at rest now, free from all pain, and looking down upon us.
During my final visit with him in the hospital I didn't think that he could hear me. The nurse said to talk to him, he could possibly hear what I was saying. I felt embarassed because i couldn't think of anything to say. I told him about a story I was writing and at the same time thinking "Why the hell am I telling him this?" I told him that,"I love you, brother!" and I repeated it again adding the words"And I hope GOD lets you hear them". It was the only time I ever told my brother that I loved him and it had to be on his death bed.
I love you guys.
Uncle Al

Phil,
you were my best buddy during our busdriving days. We would get Kathy all roulled up with our antics and with the help of Rhonda would cause quite a ruckus. we were never allowed to go on field trips together every morning was worth getting up for to see what we would do to each other to start the day. remember the rat in your bus well Rhonda put it there thats how she got her nickname. remember how you never did circle checks but said you did and signed the book anyway well i tested you one day by putting a triple e bra hanging off your driver side mirror you never saw it as it was waving in the wind going down the road until hatherly when a parent found it and asked you why that was hanging on your mirror oh how embarrassed you were that day but Rhonda and i are still laughing over it We will miss you so much. We love you Phil and always will. Cindy #13 and Rhonda #14
