Mario DiCesare Obituary

DiCESARE, Mario A. Age 77, of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, November 22, 2008. Beloved husband for 47 years of Silvana C. (Marinilli) DiCesare. Devoted father of Elena C. Montillo and her husband Gerardo of West Newton, George A. DiCesare and his wife Kathy of Norwood, Mario A. DiCesare Jr. of Braintree. Loving grandfather of Antonio, Alexa, Alessandro, Gianvito and Silvia. Brother of Antonio DiCesare of Anversa degli Abruzzi, Italy, Francesco "Frankie" DiCesare of Braintree, and the late Luigi DiCesare. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., QUINCY, Weds., November 26, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, 44 School St., Quincy, at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Tues. 4-8 p.m. Interment with military honors at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. For those who wish donations in Mr. DiCesare's memory may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of MA, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I got a call yesterday from someone at WBI who wanted to let me know, becuse an e-mail was sent out to the whole company, since I'm not there anymore, I don't get it, but I'm glad they called me. Keep your head up high.

Mr. DiCesare,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Cold War as a member of the 1st Infantry Division-the "Big Red One" which the 18th Inf. Regt. is a part of. Millions of Americans were able to sleep safe at night because you and your fellow soldiers stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
