HANNON, Francis M. Of Belmont Nov. 23. Devoted husband of the late Ruth E. (MacLean) Hannon. Beloved father and father in law of Mary Ruth and Robert Lavin of Quaker Hill, CT, John and Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Hannon of Bolton, Francis and Paula (Guerin) Hannon of Melrose, Margaret and William Merullo of Wakefield and Michael and Anne Marie (Suswal) Hannon of Winchester. Brother of Mary Farrell of Watertown, Rev. John Mark Hannon (Pastor St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson) and the late Thomas Hannon, Sr. Eileen Hannon O.P., and Margaret Hannon. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Stanton Funeral Home 786 Mt. Auburn St. (Rt 16) WATERTOWN on Friday at 9 :30 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 212 Main St., Watertown at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday only 4-8 P.M. Interment St. Patrick' s Cemetery. Late U.S.M.C. Veteran Korean Conflict. Alumnus Boston College class of 1951. Francis was a daily communicant and lector at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Belmont until its closing in 2004, after which he attended St. Columbkille's Church, Brighton. At Our Lady's Parish, he was appointed the parish's first Eucharistic Minister, a parish council member and member of the Legion of Mary. To Hannon Family
I worked with your dad at Algonquin. And oh, how he loved to talk about his children, always words of pride and love from a very happy dad. How lucky we were to know such a kind and wonderful man.

He was my boss at Algonquin. How could I be so lucky. So many times he was so kind and gentle. Could he really have been a Unites States Marine. He was also the best polka dancer I knew. Bless him.

My grandfather was one of the most amazing men I have ever met, and he will be missed dearly and loved forever. My twins boys had the pleasure to meet him and now he is with my Grandmother (his wife) and my other Grandfather (my fathers dad) telling them both about them and now looking down on them and protecting them and all of us. Thank you to everyone who cares enough to show us how much more he was loved by others.
