A stirring memory, glad to have it brought to my attention. Wonderful man.

Filip had an outrageous spirit that I loved, from the time some 40 years ago a date took me to a gathering at the house in Lexington and, when the group progressed to a restaurant for dinner, Filip (shocking to me) brought his own gin. I delighted in knowing, at least in aura, the man who made the beautiful sculptures in the garden of the Lexington library (where are they now?). We'd run into each other now and then at the Stop & Shop and it was good to see he still had his spunk. Although we lived in the same Lexington neighborhood and shared MIT connections, I regret I was always shy about visiting him--I would have liked to enjoy seeing more of that spirit. I will miss him.

I was blessed to be able to work for "Filip" for 8 years, the hole in my heart will hurt for a long time.
We learned a lot from each other.
I loved getting his input on my photography, and when asked giving my input on his artwork.
I love you Filip and will miss having you in my life.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. As a volunteer at Mount Auburn Hospital, I met him a few weeks ago and found him kind, endearing, extremely intelligent and yet unassuming. We knew people in common which forged conversations and allowed him to open up about his background. It was the day before the opening of an art show in New York in which he was featured and sadly, he was unable to attend. I am sorry you lost your father and the world lost an artist and dear man.
