My condolences to the family of George E. McCarthy. I always enjoyed my sprinklerfitter experiences with George when I worked in the Local 550 area. His support for all Union Sprinklerfitters was immense and his dedication to his local and to the industry will be greatly missed. David Stirk - Local Union 669 Shrewsbury, MA

George was a dedicated fire sprinkler advocate. Through his efforts George promoted and sponsored some of the strictest fire laws in the Commonwealth. These laws which allowed the installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems have saved countless lives and property. George will be sadly missed.
