VELLA, Josephine M. (Zanghi) Of Braintree, November 29, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Vella. Loving mother of Michael J. Vella, Carmen A. Vella and his wife Anne, Kathleen A. Paty and Anita L. Vella all of Braintree. Devoted sister of the late Joseph Zanghi and his wife Midge, Lillian Mauceri, Anthony and Dominick Zanghi. Dear grandmother of Joanne Vella Kirby and her husband James of W.V., Carilyn Vella Donovan and her husband Chris of Milton, Meryl Vella, Marisa Vella and Kelly Paty of Wollaston. Dear sister-in-law of Anne Zanghi and Alfred Mauceri of Braintree. Cousin of the late Josephine Martino. Also survived by 3 great granddaughters. Josephine was born and raised in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High in 1932. She lived her entire 94 years in the town. Mrs. Vella enjoyed her family and large circle of close friends. She particularly enjoyed cooking and entertaining at her summer home in Kingston, MA. Josephine also enjoyed and loved spending time with the family pets. Mrs. Vella was a member of the Braintree Women's Club and Sons of Italy. Reposing at the Cartwright Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., BRAINTREE until 8:15 AM on Thursday followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Thomas Moore Church, Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 to 8 PM and Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
