B. Webb Obituary

WEBB, B. Joseph Age 91 of Duxbury, MA, died on Dec. 1, 2008 at the Boston Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Anne P. (McConville) Webb of Duxbury. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was son of the late John G. and Bessie (Beaver) Webb. He was educated in Boston and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. He entered the US Army and served during WWII until his honorable discharge in October of 1945. He was employed by the MBTA as an electrician for most of his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1190. Mr. Webb is also survived by his four sons; Jack of Milton, MA, Frank of Houston, TX, Wayne of Plymouth, MA, & Mark of Austin, TX, & his daughter Annemarie Nocher of Plymouth, MA. He was predeceased by his son Gary, sister Rita, & brothers Edward, Floyd, & Robert Webb. He was the cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 9. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning at 8:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., PLYMOUTH, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church in Plymouth at 9:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home today (Tuesday) from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree, MA. Mr. Webb,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
