F. Gird Obituary

GIRD, F. Arlene (Pope) 86, of Hudson, MA passed away peacefully on Nov. 26 with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Gird and daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Pope; Devoted mother of Thomas J. Gird and his wife Susanne of Hudson, Catherine G. Hurd and her husband Mark of Hudson and the late John W. Gird and survived by his wife Patricia of Sharon; Loving "Nana" of Rebecca Regan of New Jersey, Benjamin R. Gird of Hong Kong, Zachary Hurd, Emily Gird, Falon Hurd and Linsey Hurd, all of Hudson; Proud "Great Nana" of Michael P. Regan and Lily C. Hurd; Sister of Richard Pope of North Brookfield, Nancy McDonald of Hudson and the late Daniel Pope; Sister in law of Helen Girdziewski of Maynard and the late Jennie Girdziewski; A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Joseph's the Good Provider Church, 52 West Street, RT 62, Berlin, MA, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to: Joslin Diabetes Center, Joslin High Hopes Fund, Developmental Office, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. Arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. HUDSON, MA (www.tighehamilton.com).
