Robert Amesbury Obituary

AMESBURY, Robert R. 96, of Vernon, CT, and formerly of Wellesley and Cotuit, MA, loving husband of the late Elizabeth (Elwell) Amesbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Born in Boston, son of the late Walter and Jenny (Ford) Amesbury. He grew up in Newton and Waltham and lived in Wellesley for over 30 years before retiring in Cotuit. Prior to that, Bob was an engineer for over 40 years at the former United Carr Fasteners in Cambridge. He was an avid yachtsman (a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Woods Hole for many years) and skeet shooter. He is survived by his beloved children, Carol A. Tedoldi and her husband Bob of FL, Robert C. Amesbury of WA and Richard E. Amesbury and his wife Eileen of FL; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
