John Crowe Obituary

CROWE, John "Jack" Age 77 of Grand Haven, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at a Grand Haven Hospital. Jack was born on Nov. 18, 1931 in Somerville, MA to Martin J. and Bina (Collins) Crowe and married the former Shirley Wildrom on July 7, 1953 in Grand Haven. Jack was a banking executive for Muskegon Federal Savings & Loan, President of AmeriBank, and also served on their board of directors. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Detroit. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Jack was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he was an usher and also served on the Finance Committee. He was active with the local Meals on Wheels Program, was a member of the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28, and was a lifetime member of the Grand Haven Elks Lodge. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley; two daughters, Maureen (Michael) Scott of Stevensville, MI, Kathleen (Joe) Hamilton of Victoria, MN; three sons: Martin (Kristi) Crowe of Spring Lake, Kevin Crowe of Boise, Idaho, and Michael (Renee) Crowe of Severance, CO; a sister, Marie O'Neil of Somerville, MA; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorials in Jack's name may be made to Hospice of the North Ottawa Community, http://www.noch.org/hospice.html, or to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Haven, MI. Mr. Crowe,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USAF during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
