Mr. Dunne,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army Air Forces in the China-Burma-India Theater during WW II flying supply missions from India to China over the Himalayan Mountains. The men who flew the "Hump" were some of the unsung heroes of the War-if it wasn't for them, China would not have been able to stay in the War-they supplied everything from toilet paper to bombs to fuel to our fighting men and their Chinese Allies-flying unescorted at high altitude over the Himalayas in extremely bad weather over long distances, against Japanese fighter plane attacks and if they crashed, their chances of survival were zero. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
