Just after finding a press cutting of a poem published by Fr.D Cronin Cathedral Clergy House, Francis Street London. Christine Brennan of Youghal had sent it to him. She had found it when younger in England. Called ,A Mothers Rosary. I then searched the web and discovered This site ,about Fr. Cronin's death.

It was with great sadness we learned of the passing of Fr.Dan. Una and I have many fond memories and it still a treasure to remember his visit to marry us in 1991 when he and Fr Walsh came to mitchelstown to marry us.Later his hospitality and that of Elaine are still fondly remembered when we traveled to the states. He spent many good times here and will be missed by the many family and friends he met in Ireland. God bless you Fr.Dan...Matt and Una (nee Walsh) Mitchelstown.Co.Cork.Ireland

I was a parishioner at St Williams where Fr. Cronin served in the sixties. I remember as a young girl attending St Williams, his sermons which were quite nice. To this day I remember them. He was a humble man that served his parishioners well. Unfortunately this kind of man of the cloth is quite rare.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Fr. Dan's passing. I have many cherished memories of Fr. Dan coming to visit with my parents, Tom & Nora Walsh, in Mitchelstown, Co.Cork, Ireland over the years. I was so glad that they were all able to re-unite in Westford for Fr. Dan's 50th year celebration in the priesthood about 12 years ago. I also remember Fr. Dan and Lillian helping me when I first came to America in 1990. My sincere condolences to Lillian, Mary, Eileen and all of the extended family. He will be missed by many. God bless you, Fr. Dan.
