Dear Sally and Susan:
There aren't any words that make this time easier. There are just the wonderful Bridgton Academy Family and dearest friends who love you all. They will be the angels that helpl life move on.
Our memories at BA were the greatest we had. Doug, Jack, Gordon ,Tom and their younger protegies, Marcella, Hamaty,Gately,McCabe, Fuller were the greatest team that BA will ever see. They truly loved their jobs and BA was HOME.
I am so sorry that I won't be there the 28th. No Avery's to represent Doug, but all of our thoughts will be with you in spirit.
That invite for a week in the sun when your ready is still available.
I love you Nancy Avery

Our thoughts and love are with you, Sally and Susan, at this time of loss. We have so many fond memories of Jack as a friend and colleague at Bridgton Academy. Gordon remembers faculty meetings where we agreed to disagree. Jack was sometimes difficult to budge when he had strong feelings on an issue; the daily chapels with Goldie when staying awake was difficult; the study halls which were a test of our sanity; and the many basketball trips through ice and snow around New England, especially the overnights when we had to supervise some of the 'rascals.'
Jill always hears about how BA faculty impact so many students' lives, but lest we forget in our 20+ years there how we impacted each other's lives. Jack was always there for us, and, we worked hard and spent many timeless hours together for the better of the school. He will be missed but not forgotten as the stories will last forever. We are thankful and proud to have had Jack in our lives. love, Gordon and Jill
